‘Academic Bank of Credit’ is a digital repository established by University Grants
Commission to accumulate and archive in the academic accounts of the students, the credits
earned by them through different courses and programmes across various higher
educational institutions.

The ABC ID, or Academic Bank of Credits ID, is a unique 12 digit identifier issued to students in India under NEP 2020. It's essentially a digital account where students can store and manage their academic credits, including degrees, diplomas, certificates, and other academic achievements.

As directed by the Central Ministry of Education, it is mandatory to create Academic Bank of Credits.
